The President called the meeting to order at 7:05 and welcomed our guest and new member Chuck Gazlay. The total headcount for the evening was 28.

The CCC met Monday, June 28, 2010 7PM at the Cookeville First Presbyterian Church.  Meeting called to order by Gary Self, vice president filling in for our president while she is away on a trip.  Attendance 43, guests 6.

The CCC met July 12, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church at 7pm.  Meeting called to order by Gary Self, vice president filling in for  Wanda Krack while she is away on a trip.  3 new members received and 2 visitors present.  Ten minute tip of the night presented by Gary Self - CS5 Content Aware Scale.  Sue discussed judging and read comments and scores  for the   presentation of our 36 projected entries in the Architectural Contest.

Cookeville Camera Club met May 24, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church in Cookeville, TN.  Meeting called to order, 38 present, guests and new members (Shawn Setters, Sarah and Erwin) greeted by Wanda Krack. Dick Neil presented the 10 Minute Tip of the night with a report on the art show in July. A detailed handout was passed out to members with entry instructions.

The meeting was called to order around 7:10pm. We had no visitors, but did receive two new members. They were welcomed. Wanda Krack gave the tip of the night by explaining the definitions for the two other themed contests for this year, architecture and macro. She also reminded everyone to double check their images before sending in to contests for removal of artifacts such as water spots on lenses and dirty/dust on sensors, and

The Cookeville Camera Club met Monday, April 26, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church in Cookeville, TN.  The meeting was called to order by Wanda Krack, who welcomed the members and our guest, Kristina.  The tip of the night was presented by Ellie Langford.  Gary Self presented a program explaining ways of creating an HDR image.

Cookeville Camera Club met Monday February 22, 2010 at 1st Presbyterian Church in Cookeville, TN.  Meeting called to order by President Wanda Krack @ 7:02 pm.  51 people in attendance, including 6 guests.  Gary Self introduced our special speaker of the night, Lynn Hutchenson.  She presented a very interesting program detailing how she uses photographs in her painting.

            Kathy Neer reported the Methodist Church in Cookeville might be interested in displaying some pictures in their indoor walking facility and the possibility of a display at Poet's.

MEETING NOTES OF Jan. 11th 2010 The meeting was called to order around 7:10pm. We had 47 people present, 4 of whom were new members, and 5 guests. Gary Self presented a 10 minute ‘tip of the night’ in a discussion about some of the attributes and advantages of using Lightroom as a processing tool for images.

The first club meeting of 2010 was an open contest.  The club tried a new form of presenting this contest with early judging before the meeting in order to make the meeting run more smoothly.  Even though their were a few kinks in the process it seemed to go smoother and quicker with more feedback from the judges.

CCC Meeting Notes for November 23, 2009

The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm with 26 members present and 1 visitor.  The visitor was welcomed and she spoke of two cameras she has for sale, with one needing repair.  A member told her of a shop in Hendersonville who repairs cameras.

Meeting Notes November 9, 2009

The CCC meeting for November 9, 2009 was called to order at 7:05pm by Wanda Krack (filling in due to the absence of President Sue Milligan and Vice President Karl Klein).  We had 34 members present and greeted one visitor, Willard Shobe.

We are so pleased to have Ms Pat Gordy of Chattanooga to be our guest speaker.  Total thanks go to Les Milligan (and Sue) for finding her and making all the arrangements.  What an honor to have her.

Sue Milligan called the meeting to order at 7:02pm.  She welcomed the new guests, requesting they introduce themselves and that they sign the guest book. The total head count was 53.

 

She requested that members stay for the business meeting to be held after the evening’s program and a brief recess allowing members to check out the handout items and things for purchase the Cory’s brought with them, and to sign up for their web announcements.

The first of a series of four Rookie Programs was held the hour before the regular meeting.  Sue Milligan lead the discussion “Things Going on in the Club.”  Seven people attended.

Les gave a short display and explanation of the new scoring system. The new computer generated scores will be demonstrated at the Feb. 9th meeting. Les plans to take three members at a time and let everyone practice scoring using the system.

                                     Meeting Notes for  1/12/09
The meeting was called to order at 7:12pm (19:12) by Sue Milligan, president.  She handed out the remainder of the end of year awards to members who were not at the Christmas party in December as well as the awards for Picture of the Year in the three categories……..Karl Klein, projected, Les Milligan, slides, and Bob Melgar, prints.  Sue thanked last year’s officers for a job well done.

This is a summary of our Christmas Party/Club meeting that took place on December 8, 2008 at the Cumberland Cove Welcome Center near Monterey, Tennessee. There were 30 plus members and friends present.

Dick reminded the club that we have an election of officers scheduled for the Christmas party meeting on Monday, December 8.  He read from a copy of the Constitution and By-Laws as amended in 2008, and clarified that our rules presently call for eight (8) elected officers.  The eight elected officers are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Newsletter Editor, Website Editor, and two Directors at Large, all of whom, along with the immediate past president, serve as the club’s Board of Directors.  Dick also reminded the club that the Constitution now allows one person to hold two of these jobs for up to one year by a simple majority vote of the club members

Karl and Susie Klein gave a brief report on the weekend photo shoot they led in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with a promise that we would see some of the results during the photo essay later in the evening.

Les Milligan gave an informative program on how to use the Cookeville Camera Club website, demonstrating various aspects of the site through slides that he had prepared.

Dick called attention to the club newsletter that Brian Stamm had emailed to the members earlier in the week.  He congratulated Brian for a job well done and thanked Karl Klein and Sue Milligan who contributed excellent articles on judging

President Dick Neil called the club to order at 7 p.m.  There were 29 people present when the meeting began – 20 members and 9 visitors.  The visitors were introduced as Norman Cris, Bruce Morton, Verne and Helga Skinner, Mary Lewis, Bob and Judy Mabry, Greg Wright, and Julia Parks, wife of Jerry Parks, our presenter of the evening.  (At least one other visitor entered the meeting after we began, but I did not get the name.)

President Dick Neil called the club to order at 7 p.m.  There were nineteen members and two guests present.  The guests were introduced as Jonathan Cousin and Joan Foster, both of whom have recently moved to the Cookeville area.

Dick announced a successful conclusion to the club’s July exhibit at the Backdoor Gallery of the Cumberland Art Society.  About 202 people signed the registers during the 3 ½ weeks of the show. 81 people signed up for the drawing.  Alton Meredith was the winner of the drawing and he chose Sue Klein’s photograph of Zion National Park.  Alton was informed by telephone and it was arranged that he would pick up his photograph from the Cumberland Art Society.  Four photographs were sold during the exhibit.  Thanks to all who helped in any way to make this a successful event.
